# Entire Launches an Independent Git Forge for Agent-Human Collaboration

_The next-generation developer platform replaces the Pull Request with Trails, a new way to review and ship code, Git hosting up to 89x faster than GitHub, Continuous Memory for better agent performance, and CI integrations with Buildkite and Depot._

**October 26, 2026 —** [Entire](https://entire.io) is unveiling [the first Git forge built for agents and humans to work together](https://entire.com/blog/the-git-forge-for-agent-human-collaboration), a GitHub alternative for the speed that teams require to merge changes as fast as coding agents create them.

Available to every developer today, Entire is built on fundamentally new primitives:

- **The Trail.** Unlike the classic Pull Request model of reviewing code changes with a diff, Trails offer developers a heads-up display similar to an airline pilot, with customized evals that are scored by agents on every code push. All data is available not only on Entire’s web interface, but also through the open-source Entire CLI. This allows coding agents to address findings in a loop, while the human developer validates the progress. When all evals are satisfied, they can merge the code without needing to look at the code itself.
- **Distributed Git hosting.** Entire is built on a new source control server compatible with Git, with pushes up to 89x faster than GitHub and 6x faster than Cursor Origin. This makes Entire the fastest Git forge in production today. Developers can create, migrate, and natively host private repositories in the region of their choice, including US, EU, India, and Australia, with further global expansion on the roadmap.
- **Continuous Memory.** A new approach for agents and developer teams that syncs sessions into the Git repository and makes that data constantly available and searchable to coding agents. This system is powered by two components: a [codebase graph](https://github.com/entireio/entire-graph) that allows agents to find answers faster and saves up to 71% on tokens, and an [agentic brain](https://github.com/entireio/entire-brain), which turns previous agent sessions and prompts into a durable system of memories that agents can query and learn from to stop repeating mistakes.

Furthermore, Entire is partnering with Buildkite and Depot, so the build and test pipelines keep up with how fast agents ship. Developers can move off GitHub Actions by converting their existing workflows with Buildkite’s `bk pipeline convert` or Depot CI, then subscribing the repository in Entire. From then on, builds start on every push, with results landing natively in Trails.

> _“The Pull Request revolutionized first open-source and later enterprise software development. Instead of sending diffs and patches on email lists, developers could fork a repo and send their code changes back to the maintainer. But agents now write almost all of it, faster and more complex than ever before,”_ said **Thomas Dohmke**, CEO, Entire. _“With Trails, Entire treats the idea, the agent trace, and the outcome of a developer’s sessions as first-class artifacts for review alongside the code. It uses multiple agents to generate evals that verify the quality and success of AI-generated code to let developers confidently merge without reviewing every line in the diff.”_

> _“Entire has crafted an agent-first forge, built by people who helped grow the world’s largest developer community. Every change still has to be built and tested before it ships, and this year our industry has felt the weight of that throughput grow exponentially. Entire already runs its own CI on Buildkite, and now every team on Entire has access to the CI orchestration platform frontier AI labs rely on to build the next wave of pioneering software,”_ said **Kevin Gounden**, CEO, Buildkite.

> _“We’re excited to support Entire’s launch and to bring Depot CI to their users from day one. The bottleneck has shifted from writing code to everything after it, and Depot CI gives developers and agents fast, reliable CI that runs the GitHub Actions workflows they already have,”_ said **Kyle Galbraith**, Co-founder and CEO, Depot.

## Background and the Road Ahead

Entire [raised $60 million in February](/news/former-github-ceo-thomas-dohmke-raises-60-million-seed-round), the largest seed round in developer tools history, and has grown to a global team of 50 with experience spanning GitHub, Microsoft, Atlassian, DigitalOcean, Redbubble, and more. Its first two major releases, mirroring and Entire CLI to track agent sessions, laid the groundwork for making today’s announcement possible.

Entire is highly optimized for AI-native teams, and will expand its offerings to benefit all developers, including open-source maintainers and the largest enterprises in the near future. Upcoming features are self-hosting of Git nodes, public repositories, live-streamed sessions, and more integrations with partners in the developer ecosystem.
