Fix Architecture Image Preview in Writeup

The Code Mode tool catalog has changed. This catalog supersedes the previous Code Mode tool catalog.
Code Mode
The tools listed below, and search, cannot be called directly: they only work as JavaScript inside the execute tool. Every other tool you have is a normal tool call: call it directly, never inside execute.
The catalog is partial. Before calling a tool that is not listed below, find it with the global search(...) function. Do not guess tool names. Each result's path is the complete call expression: write it out as code, for example await tools.ns.tool_name({ ... }). Do not use it as a key such as tools[path].
- search({ query?: string, namespace?: string, /** @integer @exclusiveMinimum 0 / limit?: number, /* @integer @minimum 0 / offset?: number, }): { items: Array<{ path: string, description: string, signature: string, }>, /* @integer @minimum 0 / remaining: number, next: { /* @integer @minimum 0 */ offset: number, } | null, }

What's actually broken
The Markdown and the URL are both fine. What fails is the image format once a previewer proxies it.
Evidence I collected:
| Check | Result |
|---|---|
curl -I on your SVG URL | 200, content-type: image/svg+xml, 1280×720 — file exists and is pushed to main |
Raw URL loaded in Chromium via <img> | renders, naturalWidth: 1280 — syntax and path are correct |
Same post's PNGs (four-spirits.png) through DEV's image proxy | 880×458, displays |
Your SVG through the same proxy (media.dev.to/cdn-cgi/image/...) | returns content-type: image/webp but the bytes are still raw SVG → naturalWidth: 0, i.e. a broken image |
So: platforms rewrite hotlinked images through a rasterizing proxy (media.dev.to → BunnyCDN). That proxy transcodes PNG/JPEG fine, but it cannot transcode SVG — it relabels the SVG as WebP and the browser refuses to decode it. That's why the diagram is blank in the write-up preview while your screenshots show. It will also break on Devpost/MLH previews that proxy images.
What I changed
- Exported a raster version —
docs/assets/architecture.png(2560×1440, 265 KB) rendered from the SVG, so it survives any image proxy. - Kept the SVG as the editable source and added a reproducible exporter:
scripts/build-architecture-image.mjsnpm run assets:architecture(2× scale, override withARCHITECTURE_SCALE)
- Updated every reference to the PNG with descriptive alt text.
- Fixed three labels that overflowed their boxes in the diagram at native size ("…provider access required.", "Reviews and approves each stage", "Native OpenCode permission decisions remain authoritative").
The write-up line is now:
README.md and docs/TECHNICAL.md use the same alt text with repo-relative paths (docs/assets/architecture.png / assets/architecture.png), which GitHub renders correctly.
Before it shows up
The raw URL 404s until the PNG is pushed, so the preview will stay blank until then:
README.md already has your unrelated in-progress edits, so I left it out of that git add — stage it separately (git add -p README.md) if you want its two-line image change in the same commit.
If you want zero dependency on raw.githubusercontent.com for the submission itself, upload docs/assets/architecture.png directly in the DEV editor and use the media.dev.to URL it returns — same fix, one less hop.
