  • timeline checks --limit before resolving the trail, so a bad value fails without authenticating, and the range comes from trailListServerMaxLimit.
  • An empty timeline page says it is this page's and still reports an incomplete load and the next page token.
  • stack --json prints the server's response unchanged; the text view decodes it.
  • The not-in-a-stack test serves the real {"stack":null} shape.
